Library Rules && Regulations
- All library resources may be borrowed including electronic items (i.e. CDs and cassettes) with the exception of reference works, periodicals and items in great demand placed temporarily on short-loan.
- Borrowed items may not be transferred from one borrower to another but must be returned to the library and formally re-issued.
- Borrowers are held personally responsible for the safe custody of any items loaned to them. They shall be required to pay the cost of replacement of any item, which is lost while on loan with a 100% surcharge.
- If the lost edition is revised, the defaulter should replace it with the latest edition available in the market.
- If the lost item is recovered, it shall remain as university property for paid replacement costs made.
- Marking, defacing or mutilation of any library information resources including audiovisual items is strictly prohibited.
- The Librarian, user services is empowered to decline to issue any particular item(s) or to restrict their circulation.
- Order and silence shall be maintained in the library at all times.
- All readers leaving the library in possession of books, paper bags and overcoats must show them to the library security personnel at the exit point.
- Smoking, eating and drinking in the library is forbidden.
- Use of mobile phones within the library is not allowed.
- All library users are requested to return reading materials at the designated area after use.
- No user is permitted to re-shelve or repackage any material after use.
- Computers and other electronic gadget for use in the library are assembled for academic learning and research purposes only.
- Change of computer settings and using them for any other purposes another than the approved ones is prohibited.
- Users should not reserve seating places by leaving books or other personal belongings on tables when they leave the library.
- Such items are liable to be removed and may get lost. The library will take no responsibility for such losses
