About Gretsa University library -- G.U.L
Gretsa University library aspires to establish and sustain creative
and innovative information services in support of the university
mission of teaching, learning, research, outreach and partnership in a
globally dynamic learning environment. Established as the heart of
academic learning for the University, Gretsa University Library's main
function is to elicit, support and sustain study and research. Towards
this, the library selects, organizes and makes available for use
relevant and up-to-date information materials regardless of format.
Currently, Gretsa University provides print and non-print materials and
enables access to various remote electronic information databases
relevant to the existing curriculum, social, cultural and aeshetic
demands of the community. The library has recently set-up an electronic
documents' repository to address changing needs of users and especially
to serve distance mode students.
The Library building has adequate space and is well equipped with modern study facilities, well ventilated and adequately secured. Electricity-based source of light is well networked in the entire building. A back up of oil-operated generator is always on stand-by just in case of unexpected disruption of electricity.
